Just added to our "Let's Get Dirty" hands on workshop.  Thermography, Capacitance and Electronic Leak Detection (ELD), a hands on workshop to see how to keep the integrity of your building envelope in place.  James A Rohbock, managing partner of JSR Services, an independent Building Envelope Consultant will be demonstrating how these technologies work, their strengths and limitations. We'll have an infrared camera, a deck scanner and a leak seeker testing a wall and deck mock-up to see actual real world conditions. For any of you that are specifying "green roofs", plaza decks or over burden systems, this is one demonstration you don't want to miss.

Janet Quinn, a Representative for Dow will be showcasing their Air Sealing Systems, including demonstrations of typical installations. Mike Beck of DBS Retrofit Group will also be on hand.

Newer model energy codes ASHRAE 90.1-2010 and IECC 2012 require mandatory air barriers. The performance of an air barrier system is dependent on establishing continuity of the assembly. However, maintaining continuity at transitions and penetrations is difficult and consequently often falls between trade assignments, resulting in details not being executed.

Securock Photo

Jennifer Link-Raschko, a Representative for USG Securock will be showcasing their Roof Board products, see tips and tricks for installing a high-performing commercial roof using SECUROCK Glass-Mat roof board and SECUROCK Gypsum-Fiber roof board.

SECUROCK Roof Boards, are designed for use in all types of adhered roofing systems, including single-ply, fluid-applied, built-up, spray foam, and bitumen roofing.

Tyvek Photo

Todd Gunther from Orepac Building Products will be showcasing Dupont Tyvek's Weatherization Systems, including a typical window installation on a mock-up wall.

Sealing the building envelope using DuPont Weatherization Systems helps provide the superior durability needed in commercial construction. Our innovative systems are designed to integrate seamlessly to help seal the building envelope and provide protection from air and water infiltration.
