CSI-Salt Lake City invites your company to exhibit at our annual CSI Symposium, which will be held April 1, 2016 at the Salt Lake City Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center. The Symposium is a full day of educational seminars with time for visiting exhibitor tabletops. This is your best opportunity to market your products to specifiers, architects, engineers, and building reps in Utah that are making choices about your products every day.


Product Show Exhibitor Information

You must register for this event on the CSI-Salt Lake City Website. If you need assistance, please contact Tonya Dodge at treasurer@csi-slc.org or 801-529-6013.

  • Register & Pay Online.
  • Booths will not be assigned without payment. You may select up to three (3) preferred booth locations (see floorplan below) on your registration form. Booths are assigned by first paid, first served. While we'll do everything we can to accommodate your needs, we can't guarantee your preferred booth location or separation from a competing vendor.
  • Exhibitor registration includes Trusted Advisor Training Session and meals for one person. Cost for additional helpers at exhibits will be $20 per helper, which includes meals. Please add them to your registration.
  • Exhibitors are strongly urged to personally invite at least 5 construction decision-makers to this Symposium. These may be architects, specifiers, building managers, engineers, general contractors, building owners, etc. This helps make the event more successful for everybody.
  • Exhibitors are encouraged to provide door prizes for the drawing. Attendees will be given a card similar to the chart below, and will be required to get the signatures of every vendor to qualify for the drawing. Donating cash or items to the drawing helps to assure that vendors are getting maximum exposure. If you have cash or an item you'd like to donate, please attach your business card to the item and bring it with you. We will recognize donor vendors and sponsors during the drawing.
  • REGISTRATION / CHECK-IN TIMES: Registration and check-in will occur from 6:30 am to 7:30 am. We will have a table for vendors to check-in, donate items to the drawing, and pickup their lanyards and name tags. We recommend arriving early to avoid the rush.
  • SETUP AND TEAR-DOWN TIMES: The Sheraton will be open from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 31, 2016 and from 6:00 to 8:00 am on the day of the event. Attendees and exhibitors shall enter through the same main entrance, so it's important not to congest the entry way after 7:30 am.
  • Parking is free.
  • Booth size is approximately 8' wide x 6'. Please indicate if you would like a 30" x 72" folding table and chair. Table skirts will be included. Also indicate if you will require power.
  • We will provide a list of attendee contact information in Excel format to all exhibitors after the event via email.

Trusted Advisor Course - Free course for Exhibitors

Explore the purpose of trust in the relationship between product reps and designers, and the use of networks, knowledge, and integrity in building trust.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand why architects emphasize “trust” and “honesty” when they discuss product representatives, and the opening this creates for representatives to offer and have adopted a professional opinion.
  • Understand the role of grounded knowledge and confidence in succeeding in product representation.
  • Evaluate and improve the ROI of common trust-building activities, including lunch-n-learns, sponsorships, and golf outings.
  • Learn now and when to challenge the design team.
  • Calculate the actual return you must have on your time.
  • Develop a strategy for using time effectively.
  • Discuss when and how to use a proprietary presentation.
  • Evaluate the role of contractors, installers, and other people outside the design team in your network.
  • Learn to use your network to build trust in you.
  • Understand how product representatives are sherpas in construction, and develop #RepPride.
  • Handle substitution requests whether you made the request, your competitor made the request.
  • Confront a lock-out spec.

Guest Voucher Tickets

As a tradeshow vendor, you have another tool for driving more traffic to your booth: Guest Voucher Tickets. The vouchers received by registration offer FREE Admission for architectural professionals (specifiers and decision-makers). Your guest MUST pre-register online by going to our Attendee Registration page and selecting the "Sponsored Attendee Registration" cart option and have them enter your vendor ID (your company name). Forms will be sent to you after your registration is submitted. 

For every 5 people that you get to attend you will get an entry into a drawing for a special prize given out after the show.


Sponsorships

Interested in additional marketing opportunities at this Symposium? We have sponsoring opportunities for your business. Sponsoring entities may place their signage and logos prominently at the locations or events they are sponsoring. Company logos will also appear on symposium signage as well. Include your brochures, product samples, and marketing items in our goody bag. The breakfast and lunch sponsor will have their company logos and infomation on every table. Fundraising Banquet & Ice Skating

After the Symposium we will be hosting a Fundraising Banquet for the University of Utah DesignBuildBluff Program. The program provides students with an opportunity to design and build a full-scale work of architecture in collaboration with the Navajo People. We are asking for sponsors to cover the cost of the Banquet so that all attendance fees can go to the DesignBuildBluff Program.
