• Improve intercommunication between design professionals, contractors, and building officials.
• Understand and avoid the most common problems code officials encounter on new construction projects.
• Understand ways to discourage the issuing of standard, non-specific code compliance checklists in favor of issuing project-specific code reviews.
• Improve construction documents by better understanding of the kind of information that code officials want to see in the drawings.
